Fourth of July Celebration at Post 201 – Community Members Welcomed at Post For Independence Day Celebrations

Post Clubroom/Bar Opens for Members

Post Opens to the Public
Baseball Field Concession Stand Opens
Members of the Post and the area community are invited to celebrate the day and take advantage of all the Post’s facilities until the fireworks show at Wills Park concludes. Bring blankets and plan to picnic on the grounds during the day and into the evening. Children may enjoy the bounce houses
and other related activities during the day.

Food for sale at the concession stand and prices:
Candy/Cookies – $2.00
Peanuts/Sunflower Seeds – $2.00
Chips – $1.00
Popcorn – $3.00
Soda & Gatorade – $3.00
Water – $2.00
Hot Dog – $3.00
Dog/Chip/Drink Combo – $6.00
Hamburger – $4.00
Burger/Chips/Drink Combo – $7.00
Cheeseburger – $5.00

Ice Cream Sandwich or Cone – $2.00
Icee -$1.00
A $1 discount on each item costing more than $2 is available to members of the Legion. Beer will be available for sale on the grounds and adults may also take advantage of the Post Clubroom’s beverage offerings throughout the day until the Post closes.

Alpharetta City Band Concert
Playing under the direction of Dr. Nicole Fallin, the Alpharetta City Band, a traditional concert band, has become an integral part of the city’s cultural arts community. The ensemble of dedicated amateur musicians from Alpharetta and surrounding communities has entertained audiences
throughout the north metro area since its first concert in 1989. Audiences delight in the band’s diverse repertoire, which includes patriotic marches, Broadway classics, jazz standards, traditional concert band arrangements, and holiday favorites.

9:30 p.m.
Fireworks
The City of Alpharetta’s fireworks, which can be seen from the Post’s Walk of Memories and baseball field, are scheduled to start when the sky is dark, which should be in the 9:30 p.m. time frame. If there is a weather delay, the latest start-of-show will be 10:40 p.m., according to the City
Event Parking & Other Information As in past years, donations will be appreciated for vehicle access to the Post parking lot from those
who are not members of the Post, but who are taking advantage of the parking facilities in order to enjoy the area’s Independence Day celebration.
For those who might not be familiar with the Post’s beverage rules, alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the Post’s grounds. Consumer fireworks, charcoal grills and small propane grills are also prohibited on Post grounds.
