Alpha Jazz Big Band Swing Music

Alpha Jazz, a 22-member group of the Alpharetta City Band, will be performing in the Post ballroom for those who want to dance, or just enjoy the sound. This group brings a distinctly different genre of music to the Alpharetta scene. Made up of trumpets, trombones, saxophones, a rhythm section and vocalists, this extremely talented group of musicians excels in the improvisational nature of jazz. Others may choose to put it into the “Big Band Sound” category.

Enjoy a music repertoire including hits April in Paris, In the Mood, Jump, Jive and Wail, Moon River, Moonlight Serenade, String of Pearls, Take the A Train, The Girl from Ipanema, All of Me, Fly Me To the Moon and The Way You Look Tonight and more. Dance if the mood strikes, or simply enjoy the music of a wonderful era. 

The two-hour Saturday evening performance will start at 8 p.m. A $12 per per person cash or credit card donation to the Post will be requested at the door.
