DESCRIPTION:Four Chaplains Day Remembrance to be recognized on Monday\, Feb. 3. at Post 201\, with reduction of pricing by $1 on all wines served at the Clubroom Bar. \nBACKGROUND HISTORY: Feb. 3 is the anniversary of the 1943 sinking of the United States Army Transport Dorchester in the waters of Greenland\, and the selfless acts of Lt. George L. Fox\, a Methodist minister from Pennsylvania; Lt. Alexander D. Goode\, a Reform rabbi\nfrom New York; Lt. John P. Washington\, a Roman Catholic priest from New Jersey; and Lt. Clark V. Poling\, a Reformed Church in America minister from Ohio. They gave up their lives for soldiers during as the Dorchester sank. For more information click here
